This is an abbreviated newsletter this month as I’m on a month-long Ayurvedic retreat in at Swaswara in Gokarna, India. I wrote this early and enlisted some help to send it to you on time. I’m taking a month off and detoxing from my daily routine, including technology. I’ll tell you about it in March.
February is an important month as it signifies the beginning of spring in the Chinese calendar. This
is a month to refresh your home for the New Year. The annual date for feng shui changes is February 4th each year, the date of the solar new year.
Chinese New Year celebrations are on the lunar New Year, which is February 16th. The date for the lunar New Year changes each year. 2018 is the year of the Yang Earth Dog. It’s a double-Earth year. We’re
already experiencing lots of Earth changes and we’ll continue to see more.
We have a full moon and Lunar Eclipse on January 31st. The three nights around the full moon, Jan 30 through February 1 are a great time to cleanse your cures and any feng shui items you place throughout your home. They absorb chi and should be cleansed at least annually. If we have a
clear night, place your object outside under the full moon for the entire night. Alternatively, you can place your items under full sun for four hours.
Make the most of February this year. After mid-March we have several months of mixed energies and some re-thinking. It’ll be a bit more challenging to get new things initiated through early October. The news is not all bad
though. We’re expected to be in an economic high through early November.
