Hello Everyone,

Now that Memorial Day has passed, summer is unofficially in full swing.

Last weekend I made progress catching up with weeding and pruning my gardens. Thinning things out, removing debris and excess, is an important part of growth in our gardens as well as in our lives.

If you have time, give the Knowledge area of your home and office some attention ahead of Saturday night’s new moon. Doing so will help you to become clearer about your intentions and direction.

This is also the month to commit your plan to paper, as a guide for the next two years, if you already haven't done so. Things will begin to fall into place beginning in July.

The Summer Solstice is approaching on June 20th. We have about two more weeks of longer days before things swing the other way. Take advantage of this special time of year.

Spend time outside and enjoy June!

June 4th New Moon: Enhance Your Knowledge Gua
Our June new moon in the sign of Gemini, arrives late on Saturday, June 4th. It correlates with your Knowledge and Personal Development gua. This is the front left corner of your land, house, business, office, work space, and every room, when you divide your space into a grid of nine like a tic-tac-toe board.

As the new moon approaches this week, clear out as much excess as you can and give thanks and appreciation for the most appropriate knowledge and information coming to you. Visualize being delighted with your authentic self and truly knowing what brings you joy. A clean and clear space will assist a free flow of energy and your readiness to receive it, in multiple ways.

Self-introspection can help you to identify the fears and doubts that are holding you back. As you clear out what you longer need and everything that does not bring you joy, you create space (both physical and energetic) for the right data, messages, insights, and resources to come your way.

Begin by giving the front left corner of your home or office extra attention. Items that don’t bring you joy are cluttering your space and blocking energy. Eliminate them. Doing so is very freeing! Repair, remove or toss out anything that is broken, vacuum deep into the corners, remove cobwebs, wash your windows and curtains, thin out excess paper, magazines, contents of file drawers that are no longer needed, paper piles, and books you’re not likely to read again.

If you have an office or computer in this area, thin out electronic files.  They're easy to overlook until your system comes to a halt. As electronic clutter accumulates, things slow down. You can avoid this by being diligent and deleting files regularly.

In your yard, remove debris and weed gardens in the front left corner, as you look in from the street. If things are crowded, thin your plants to give the healthy ones extra room to grow.

Also check the outside front left corner of your house and business, as you face the building. Spruce up anything that requires extra attention.

Enhancements for the Knowledge and Personal Development area include: the colors blue, green or black; square shapes, mountain images, pottery and earthenware, natural crystals, shells, and books. You can also “fire up” this area by adding red or pink, lights or candles, pictures of people or animals, and triangular shapes. Inside this is a great area for a library or study. Outside, the knowledge gua is a great location for a meditation space or herb garden.

As I wrote this, I realized that I recently untangled a beautiful natural wind chime that's in the Knowledge area of my house and porch. I was walking by and it needed attention, so I stopped and took a few minutes to get it swinging freely again. Notice how your intuition draws you to particular areas or items.

Give your Knowledge area some extra attention. Then tune into the results beginning with the June 20th full moon and Summer Solstice.

Remember: new moons are a time to launch new intentions and full moons are about beginning to see the fruits of our labors. Working with one specific area of your home each month is a very good way to attract beneficial energy that is in alignment with the cosmos.

Is Your 2-Year Personal or Business Plan Ready?
This month we are in the final phase of Mars Retrograde for the next two years. Mars is the planet associated with your energy, action, and desire. It influences how you go after what you want.

Every two years, it appears to back up or retrograde for 12 weeks to give you time to reassess what you want and where you are headed. Mars went retrograde April 17th and it will go direct on June 30th.

Without a plan, things are likely to continue as they have been. Are you OK with this? If not, this is the time to make conscious adjustments so that you are ready to move ahead by July 1st!

In addition to being a primary month for summer fun, July is an important month to take inspiring action this year that will propel you ahead. August is a beneficial month too.

This correlates nicely with the Knowledge gua this month. I love it when this happens. As you refresh your Knowledge gua, pay attention to your intuition, as well as the messages and insights that come your way.

I recommend that you commit your personal and business strategic plans to paper. This will help you avoid being pulled into other people’s drama. Writing your plans down (or typing them out) clarifies and reinforces your commitment. The act of physical writing helps to imprint them in your brain as well.

If you feel like you’re floundering, you’re not happy with your job or career, or you don’t know what direction to take, contact me. You don’t need to struggle. I’ll help you to release the struggle and put a plan in place to move forward.

Cell Phones and Cancer…The Truth is Emerging
Last week, initial results from a cell phone study conducted by the U.S. National Toxicology Program (NTP), were released.

This study disproves a long-standing hypothesis that cell phone radiation does not cause health effects. According to Ron Melnick, who led the study design team, the “data showed statistically significant increases in cancer among rats that had been exposed to GSM or CDMA signals for two years.”

Consensus of the scientists involved is that there was a carcinogenic effect in rats that were exposed to the signals, which contradicts the popular message that has been persistent for the past twenty years.

The study does not prove that cell phones harm human health. Correlations can be drawn, however, from the controlled two-year exposure to the rats.

This is a significant shift in results and messaging. Although this is a start, the full report may not be released until September 2017. The government does not rush into these things!

We do need guidelines on exposure limits for humans … men, women, and children. It may be a while before this happens.

In the meantime, take a precautionary approach with your cell phone and all wireless devices:
  • Put your cell phone on airplane mode or turn it off completely when not in use.

  • Use airplane mode or turn it off completely before putting it in your pocket.

  • Do not hold your cell phone up to your head for extended periods of time.

  • Use it in speaker mode, use an air tube headset (not Bluetooth), or text.

  • Leave your cell phone outside your bedroom or put it in airplane mode before sleeping.

  • Do not sleep with an active cell phone within six feet of your head or under your pillow.

  • Do not let your kids sleep with their cell phone under their pillow. (Yes, this happens!)

  • Actively minimize kids’ exposure to cell phones. Full brain development does not occur until about age 25.

  • Do not allow babies to play with cell phones or wireless devices.

Make the Best Choices You Can for Your Health and Well-Being
While information about cell phones was continually debunked for the last 10-20 years, our devices became significantly more powerful and have become fully integrated into our lifestyles.

Simultaneously, our health care costs continue to soar as the health of our population continues to decline. Although they could be a significant contributing factor, cell phones are not the sole cause of our decline in health. Our environment, food, and lifestyle choices are also significant factors.

Educate yourself about what's happening and make the best choices you can. Summer's a great time to eat locally grown, organic food. It's readily available. You might think of food as medicine. Personally, I prefer to pay the farmer rather than the doctor.

This summer, be smart about how you use your cell phone and take a precautionary approach. Along with this, eat fresh, locally grown vegetables, fruits, and meats. Your local Farmer’s Market is a great resource.

Get outside and get some exercise daily. Omit bringing toxic substances into your home and business. Unless you're in the deep woods, choose healthier alternatives to Deet and pesticides. There are many natural alternatives that are quite effective.

When purchasing products, natural materials are best. Avoid pressed wood as it often contains formaldehyde, another substance with toxic side effects.

If you change just one habit, it would be a great start!
