Summer has arrived in New England, just ahead of the July 4th holiday weekend. We’re expecting a heat wave this week. Do your best to stay cool during the extreme temperatures.
For the past several weeks I’ve been hearing the word “Joy” regularly in the mainstream press. It’s been quite a
pleasant shift! It’s been related to the joy of the World Cup and the experiences of many foreign visitors to the USA. Our guests have been delighted to discover things that are uniquely American … particularly things that are supersized. It also related to the joy of New Yorkers and the celebrations when the Knicks won the NBA championship. The city embraced the fans and the team and put on a huge parade. The World Cup goes on for five weeks, so expect to hear about many more joyful experiences
as the games continue, winners emerge, and fans embrace the sport.
This month, the planet Mercury is retrograde through July 23rd. It’s a time to slow down, be attentive to your surroundings, allow for extra time between activities, and avoid purchasing electronics or signing contracts. Beneficial activities to do this month include spending time with family and friends, enjoying summer festivities and events,
reading a good book, renovating or redoing spaces, working in your garden, removing clutter, and releasing anything that is limiting you or holding you back from living your best life. We all have challenges. One way to deal with each unique situation is to decide that every day will be the best day. Given where you are and what you’re going through, set an intention that “today” will be the best that you can make it …
and then set about doing just that.
We are living through unprecedented global changes. Expect a few more months of very intense energies before a better world emerges. Hang in there as you take time to enjoy July!
