Hello,
May is shaping up to be one of the best months of this fast-paced year. In my area of northern New England, spring has burst forth. The daffodils, tulips, forsythia, magnolia, and rhododendrons are all in bloom. We’ve moved from a cold and wet winter to a beautiful, sunny, and relatively warm and breezy spring. I’m looking forward
to spending more time outside!
In your home, give some attention to your Wealth and Knowledge guas this month. These are the back-left and front-left corners of your house, every room in your house, your workspace, and your land, respectively. Refresh your Wealth area before the May 12th full moon, and then move on to your Knowledge area. Doing so will help keep you in a flow of positive energy.
Spring is a good time to clear your space of excess items … things that you no longer use or love. Clutter holds you back and stops you in your tracks. It’s easy for it to accumulate without ongoing vigilance. More importantly, a lot of clutter can be a sign of self-sabotage that prevents you from living your life to the fullest. You put off doing things that bring you joy because you’re overwhelmed by your “stuff,” and you
avoid thinning things out because you never get around to it. This article from the New Yorker might interest you.
Interested in kitchen trends? Here are nine current trends to check out. Earth tones are back in style. The Earth element brings support, grounding, stability and nurturing. Attributes we can use these days. Keep in mind that not all trends represent good feng shui. Beams are one such example. Although you can work with them when they are in your space, I don’t recommend adding them when you build or renovate.
Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11,
occurs a day before the full moon. Memorial Day, Monday, May 26th, is a new moon day. Let go of anything that no longer works for you at the full moon and then set some wonderful intentions as summer begins on a new moon day. The last week of May has particularly favorable energy. Pay attention and notice what unfolds.
Happy Mother’s Day to every mom and those in mother roles!
Enjoy May.
