We begin December and the holiday season with a new moon in Sagittarius. This is an excellent time to set your intentions for the month ahead. With Mercury retrograde through December 15th, be flexible and allow extra time between activities. If you’ll be purchasing electronics, I recommend waiting until December
16th. They will work out better for you.
The feng shui area of your home to work with this month is the Knowledge gua. This is the front left corner of every space. This also fits well with the Mars retrograde cycle which begins December 6th and continues through February 23rd. This is the best time to set your personal and professional goals for the next two years.
I recommend that you consciously slow down over the next few weeks. I realize that this is a lot to ask during the holiday season! You'll be less stressed and more fully present for yourself, your family, and friends. After the holidays, take time through February to reflect on where you are and what you'd like to prioritize over the next two years. You might begin by spending time with favorite people, participating in
seasonal activities, listening to classical or spiritual music, enjoying some of your preferred foods and getting some exercise. The Good News Network recently reported that people who exercise have healthier brains and lower levels of neurodegenerative diseases. Read the article here.
The Winter Solstice is December 21st. In the northern hemisphere the days will begin to grow longer
minute by minute. I love the holiday lights that brighten the dark nights. When it’s time for them to go you’ll notice that we have more daylight. Underneath the frozen soil, the seeds and plants are preparing to delight us once again next spring and summer.
I’ll be preparing Flying Star charts during January. If you’d like a chart for your home or workspace for 2025, let me know. I’ll put you in the queue on a first come, first serve basis. Chinese New Year is Wednesday, January 29th. We will move into the year of the yin Wood Snake.

Sagittarius on December 1st. New moons are a time for new beginnings. It’s an ideal day to do a meditation and set intentions for the month ahead. The area of your home to work with this month is the Knowledge gua. This is the front-left corner of your house, every room in your house, your office or workspace, and your yard or land.

Mars Retrograde: Plan Your Two Year Priorities!
Mars is the planet of ambition, assertiveness and action. It stations retrograde from December 6, 2024 to February 23, 2025. This aligns well with the focus on the Knowledge gua for December, 2024.
Mars goes retrograde once every 26 months. Anytime a planet is retrograde, it’s time to re-assess the area of life that planet impacts. When Mars stations retrograde it’s
time to reassess what motivates you, the direction that you’re moving in, the way you do leadership, what excites you.
Mars retrograde usually brings a shift in perspective. You may find yourself reassessing the way you express authority, confidence, and leadership qualities. Check in with yourself and see if you’re leading from your authentic self or if you’re leading from
ego.

A reminder from last month … The planet communications, Mercury, is retrograde in the sign of Sagittarius until Sunday, December 15. This will influence holiday communications and travel plans. Allow extra time to get places. Anticipate delays. Also, be aware of how you communicate with others. The Sagittarius tendency would be to blurt things out and speak your mind. This could get you into a lot of
trouble. Rather than be blunt, or even rude, it would be wise to take a softer, gentler, and kind approach. This year, simply be more considerate. In general, people have been going through a lot and are quite stressed. Think before speaking and be kind when you do.
